Do Reiki Attunements Increase Synchronicities?
This research article explores the occurrence of synchronicities following Reiki attunements.
To explore this, I conducted an Instagram community poll to look at whether Reiki practitioners noticed an increase in synchronicities after their attunement and the specific types of coincidences they experienced.
Methodology and Results
A total of 43 practitioners engaged with the poll and answered at least one question. To ensure the data remained accurate, I removed 6 entries from the final results, 4 practitioners who did not complete all of the questions and 2 who provided contradictory answers (stating they had no synchronicities but then identifying specific types in the follow up). This left a final group of 37 practitioners.

Result 1: Do Synchronicities Increase After Attunement?
The first part of the survey looked at whether practitioners noticed a higher frequency of synchronicities once they were attuned to Reiki. The data shows a strong correlation across all levels.
Master Level: 91% reported an increase in synchronicities, while only 9% saw no change.
Level 2: 75% noticed an increase, with 25% reporting no change.
Level 1: 100% reported an increase.
The data suggests a significant shift in awareness following a Reiki attunement, with 86% of all practitioners reporting that they begin to notice a higher frequency of synchronicities in their daily lives.
Result 2: What Types of Synchronicities are Most Common?
I asked practitioners to identify the specific nature of the synchronicities they noticed. While the experiences varied, one specific type dominated the results.
Number Synchronicities: This was the most frequent experience across the board. 61% of Master level practitioners, 67% of Level 2, and 100% of Level 1 practitioners reported seeing repeating or significant numbers.
Life Coincidences: This was significantly more common at the Master level (26%) compared to Level 2 (8%).
Word/Name Synchronicities: This was the least common category, noted by only 4% of Master level practitioners and 0% of Level 2.
No Longer Noticed: A small portion of the group (9% of Masters and 25% of Level 2) reported that they did not really notice synchronicities anymore.
Interpretation
The data confirms that Reiki attunement is frequently followed by an increased awareness of synchronicities. While number based signs are the most common for practitioners at all levels.
Whether it is seeing repeating numbers or experiencing perfectly timed life events, the results indicate that for the majority of practitioners, the Reiki attunement marks a clear increase in how they perceive and encounter synchronicity.
